2. Purpose and basic principles

Nomadino is an information portal for country comparisons, location factors, living costs, infrastructure, climate and related editorial content. The website does not provide user accounts, login areas, personalised profiles or paid member functions.

Nomadino does not use advertising networks, social media pixels, Google Analytics, affiliate tracking or profiling for advertising purposes. Personal data is processed only where it is technically necessary for delivering the website, for anonymous internal statistics or for handling contact requests.

3. Hosting and website access

This website is hosted on a server in the European Union. When you access the site, technically necessary connection data is processed so the requested page can be delivered to your browser. This may include your IP address, date and time of access, requested URL, HTTP status, referrer and browser or device information.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in providing a stable, secure and error-free website. Nomadino does not use this technical access data for advertising or personal user profiling.

4. Local fonts

This website uses the fonts Fraunces and Space Grotesk. The font files are stored locally on our server and loaded from there. No connection is made to Google Fonts or another external font service for this purpose.

5. Page view analytics

To understand how the website is used and which pages need improvement, Nomadino collects limited internal page view data. No analytics cookies are set and no persistent personal identifier is stored.

What is stored:

• The visited URL path, for example /countries/georgia/
• The referrer URL transmitted by the browser, if available
• A daily rotating, shortened SHA-256 hash derived from the IP address; the original IP address is not stored in the page view table
• The timestamp of the page view

What is not stored for analytics: full IP addresses, browser fingerprints, geolocation data, analytics cookies or advertising identifiers.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in privacy-friendly internal statistics.

Retention: Page view analytics are intended to be evaluated only for limited periods and are regularly cleaned up. Aggregated statistics may be retained without personal reference.

6. Contact form and email requests

If you contact Nomadino through the contact form, the following data is processed:

• Name
• Email address
• Subject
• Message text
• The page path from which the form was submitted
• Browser user agent
• A daily rotating shortened IP hash for abuse prevention
• Technical delivery status of the email notification

The purpose of this processing is to receive, document and answer your request and to protect the form against misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in communication with website visitors and abuse prevention. If your request concerns a potential contractual or pre-contractual matter, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR may additionally apply.

Contact messages are stored in the website database and are also sent by email to info@nomadino.com. The email is sent through Spacemail/Spaceship using SMTP (mail.spacemail.com). The sender address used by Nomadino is info@nomadino.com; your email address is used as reply-to so that we can answer your message.

Retention: Contact requests are kept for as long as needed to handle and follow up on the request. They are deleted when they are no longer required, unless legal retention obligations or legitimate documentation interests require longer retention.

7. Email provider and technical recipients

Personal data is not sold, rented or shared for advertising purposes. Data may be processed by technical service providers where this is necessary to operate the website and contact function, in particular the hosting provider and the configured email provider for SMTP delivery.

If a service provider processes data on behalf of Nomadino, the processing is limited to the technical purpose for which the provider is used.

8. No external advertising or profiling services

Nomadino currently does not use external advertising or profiling services, including:

• Google Analytics or comparable analytics services
• Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel or other social media trackers
• Advertising networks, retargeting or affiliate tracking
• Embedded social media plugins for tracking purposes

9. Local storage in the browser

The analytics opt-out is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This value is used only to remember whether analytics collection is disabled for this browser. You can remove it at any time through your browser settings or by re-enabling tracking above.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights in particular:
