How Attractions and Activities Are Calculated

The topic score is an equally weighted average of four indicators. Nomadino calculates: attractions and activities = major attractions density × 0.25 + guided tours and bookable experiences × 0.25 + tourist outdoor activities × 0.25 + nightlife and entertainment for visitors × 0.25.

  • Major attractions density: 25%
  • Guided tours and bookable experiences: 25%
  • Tourist outdoor activities: 25%
  • Nightlife and entertainment for visitors: 25%

This topic rates how much a country offers visitors to see and do on the ground. It deliberately separates major attractions, bookable experiences, outdoor activities and evening entertainment, so museums or general cultural offers are not double-counted.

The source frame mainly uses UNESCO World Heritage, OpenStreetMap and Overpass, Wikidata, Protected Planet, World Bank nature-area data, national tourism portals, the WEF Travel & Tourism Development Index, and maintained Nomadino indicators on infrastructure, information, payments, language, nature, cultural freedom and practical visitor safety.

All four indicators are 0-100 point values. Higher values mean a broader, more visible and more practically usable visitor offer.
