Internet Freedom

Degree of internet freedom on a scale from 0 to 100, where 100 represents a fully open internet with no censorship, no surveillance, and strong legal protections for online expression. Countries at the low end block social media, news sites, and VPNs, or conduct mass surveillance of online activity. For digital nomads, a restricted internet means relying on VPNs that may themselves be illegal, and risking legal exposure for normal online behaviour.
