E-Government

UN E-Government Development Index 2024 (0–1). Measures a country's use of digital technology in public services: online visa portals, digital identity, e-registration, and the quality of official government websites. A high EGDI score means you can apply for permits, file taxes, or register your address from your laptop. A low score means physical queues, paper forms, and in-person visits to multiple offices — a significant hidden cost for nomads trying to comply with local regulations.
