The emirate, entry channel and sponsor also matter. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates operate under the UAE framework, but applications, extensions and service channels can run through ICP, GDRFA Dubai, an airline, hotel, travel agency or a local sponsor. Longer stays should also account for health insurance, accommodation evidence, payment access, local registration needs and overstay fines.
